Amazing Incredible the best time management ever in my life starts here
a) Managed to represent the AIESEC Thailand alumni in Asia-Pacific Alumni Congress 2008 in Japan
b) Crazy trip with my best friend, Karen in Laos. Just to prove the Best plan is no Plan.
c) To find out the real meaning and the benefit of how meditation can help your life. I did. I found and I've arrived. I'm home.
Let's start with bit by bit here then.
--
Taken from the email i have sent to my dear friend, Anya in Ukraine regards the AP Alumni Congress.
1) Did you like that Alumni Event?
==> I do very much enjoy the alumni event. It is full with energy (still) and i still can feel the passion (even more) from the alumni.
For the fact of how much do they value and enjoy their time back then and continue to see and find out what can they do more in the future.
2) What were its strongest and weakest sides?
==> The strongest would be the networking part. We have around 200 alumni from all over. Mainly from AP but we also have from Europe as well.
The part of appreciation in how we have been coming 'till today is also amazingly appreciated.
In the part of the history wise of how AIESEC in AP has started. (and we have the person who brought AIESEC into AP here with us, really makes the strong point and impressive for all)
The photos appear in the presentation then people stood up to receive the applause.
That is just lovely. Sweet memory and experiences to all.
In my opinion, i feel like it sent out the appreciation to both the receiver and the sender. Really like that one.
Another strong part would be with the theme of the congress itself 'Sustainable Development in Asia", it's quite in trend right now for this issue.
So most of the participants (from the alumni part would be more focus on the corporate side.
High profile external speakers from Sony, Toyota, Asahi Beer and Famous Financial company in Japan, impressive presentation and facts that i have received.
And from the APX delegate side is from the student part) So the content, dialogue and the discussion were quite interesting and powerful.
For this fact, i think it's very wise for combining both of the participant with the same topic of interest.
The weak side would be the part that their is not much in sharing the profile of the alumni to the members.
I feel that it's one of the most powerful and useful way to utilize the alumni in the conference. To share and inspire the members.
As for me, i am quite the recent alumni (there) and i still get so much of the impression and the energy from this.
I think it would be better to provide the chance for the alumni to share their memories and experiences with the members.
Especially in different country that will give quite interesting and amazing stories for the members.
Also for the better corporation in the future between the country even. That is my opinion though.
From the alumni part, i would say mostly they joined just for the re-connect back the AIESEC.
In some countries (like Thailand, HongKong and Singapore), from this conference will lead to the starter or the better steps for the alumni to contribute back to their country.
Some likes Korea and Japan are already starting the better contribution and more involvement of the alumni.
So it might also be nice to have something that is quite concrete or tangible enough for the alumni to see what actually can they do or put in the role for the better of AIESEC.
3) Was there smth what you disliked?
==> This is the very honest to this question, Anya. I love everything in it.
Of course there are not much expectation when you are the alumni to join in the alumni congress.
It is all about yourself to connect and re-connect.
Same generation or different generation.
It is for your own benefit though; personally or professionally.
Let me know if you need anything else on this regards.
I can also introduce you to the OCP of the Congress. He is GREAT.
He is 65 years old. Still with so much energy and passion.
Miss you dear,
Take care and talk to you soon.

I gained much more than i can imagine.
