~aT thE enD~

Don't know why i can't really finish the traveling stories of my 2007.
Okay, no more excuse as the Chinese New Year is approaching. I better finish it in order to add more for the new year.
(I can't really postpone 'till Thai New Year in April though. That's for sure)

---
Okay, let's take another ride on the time machine back to Christmas 07.

My sweet dear Rob arrived the same day that i got back to this land of smile.
He was my +1 to surprise many friends and my family. (Sorry for anyone that i scared them with the thought of taking the boyfriend back home) haha
Crazy amazing fun while he was in BKK. Same with Betty. That's just amazing time we had.
The favorites activities here in this fab city.
Never get enough of massage.
After midnight Bud & Bee.
Before Midnight @ DJ's station.
My mom's cooks.
Our own room karaoke.
Who can ask for anything more...

The more crazy moments were taken when we were on the 12 hrs bus to southern part of Thailand and took the first flight out to Singapore.
Yes, to my dear in Singapore. I did it again. Been there without telling anyone before.
Well, i didn't know for sure 'till 2 days before took off.
So, there at the airport. Surprised Rina with another HOT 4 South African guys. ;-)
It's just nice. ;-)
Christmas-eve dinner.
Met up with my MY friends.

On 25th to Santoza for sun bath and to make his dream comes true.
Just amazing time though.

At that night

Then followed by many many surprises.
Surprise Karen by bumping into her in the MRT.
Surprise my dear MCP fellows, Edwin - INDO, Chien - MY, Vega - TW, Bulan - INDO.
It's really really nice time.
Karen kept on telling how happy i was.
I really was.

Somehow to think of it. Even though it might seem that we have seen each others not long ago but last time i met Edwin was back in our outgoing IPM 2004! Can't imagine that!! ah... memories flashed back to the time we were at the beach with this duet. Agree with Bulan, this two are just the longest relationship in our batch! haha.

The surprise continues when we were trying to find the 'Taboo' there in Sipo.
Surprise my Thai friend there by just gave him a call and ended drinking two strong Long island tea an hour later & followed by lots of beer. (wrong move, wrong move)
Resulted in felt super sick in the morning.
After almost gave Rob the xp of missing the flight (as we were the last in checking in), felt really sick before flew back to Phuket though)

***************
Then seem so long afterward but not really, landed back in the land of paradise, Phuket.
Realised that it's the Tsunami memorial day.
Decided to rent car and drive (supposed to be) 1.30 hrs, but 2.30 hrs instead to Phang Nga for the memorial on the beach.
Got lost where i did and shouldn't.
Still nice scenes around though.
Got there quite late.
The ceremony already started.
Went to the beach.
Breath taking scenes and tears dropping feeling.
Kind of glad that i did take the right choice not to join the ceremony 2 years ago.
I might have been too depressed.
The scenes and the feeling are still fresh in mind 'till today.
That's something that u need to experienced it to know.
I feel the lost but filled with love there.

Later.. just stood there.
Realised that we rather find place to sleep for the night.
Gave couple calls, got the place to stay for free. ah... that's nice.
After visited many people and shopped there, we headed back to Phuket.
It's really great to know that things are moving quite well.
Not as fast as i hope but it's moving. I can take that though.

Drove back to Phuket with the overwhelm feeling.
Got ourselves free hotel room.
Went for 3 hrs massage.
Feel much alive afterward. Enough to move us to the beach later. (almost midnight i'm talking here)
What else can u ask for more. Drink by the sea, easy breeze, thousand of star and with your love friend.
I got music, i got my drink, i got my man. What can u ask for anything more.
;-)

~On mY TrAveLiNg sHoeS (again & again) 07~

Eastern Europe part II : Iasi, Romania

The train ride was excited, i may say.
First know that i would be alone for 23 hrs train ride.
First time to travel from country to another country non-stop by train.
Took off with good start of sending me off.

Thanks, Captian.

There were 1 American, 2 Bulgarians, the rest of Ukrainians and 1 Tailande.

"My STOP"

Well one week here, i would say it's more of pre-stage of heading home.
Not really have done anything at all. (Serious speaking)
Wake up so late (I blame it to the snow, shorten the day time)
You that know me know that my battery runs by solar power.

"Snow Fight Snow Fight'

"wt mi Host!'

Iasi is pretty similar to Chisinau so i do feel like a bit save at home. Even got excited to see 'Moldova Travel Agency'
It's just too hard not to miss Chisinau when u were only 3 hrs drive away though.
Lesson learnt, next time makes sure that you planned your trip well and apply for multiple entries visa.
You never know, you never know where will your heart be. ;-)

How can you want miss when u have mamaliga as the dish here.

'I'm all excited!'

Did a bit of service for the members of AIESEC Iasi.
Well, I was there.
They needed help.
I had fun doing some labor works. haha

'@ the LC Iasi meeting'

Nice ending of the Eastern Europe trip.

Inspired by my dear Turkish intern's
"So how is your trip after leaving me?"

Here i go...

On my traveling mode in Dec 07. (part 1: Eastern Europe)

I have the opportunities to travel a bit after my internship.
First stop - Kyiv, Ukraine.

I would say that Kyiv has made me feel like I have arrived in Europe eventually.
Well, in Chisinau gives me the feeling of simple life side of Europe.

I have been told that Kyiv is on the top of the most expensive cities in the world.
Well to live up to that fact, 1 week in Kyiv spending = 1 month of living in Chisinau. ;-)

To recall a bit though. What i did in the capital of Ukraine - 2nd largest country in Eastern Europe.
Walked around the city.
Seeing and taking photos for the sake of showing my dear back home that i did come to Europe.

Spent one week at MC UA apartment. Nice and sweet.
Feel so masculine though for one night beers drinking. 4 bars, loaded of beers and of course, wines (to remind myself that i am a girl after all) .

Thanks to the nice MC UA boys. ;-)

Little sweet funny notes:

This is how to dry your cloth there.

This is China.

And this is Mandarin.

haha feel like HOME. haha

And here I met 'SPRING' in the middle of Winter. Filled with Energy and Kept me alive there. ;-)

To be continue...

~tHe WonDerfuL jOuRneY!

~ At the beginning ~
(Donna Lewis)

We were strangers, starting out on a journey
Never dreaming, what we’d have to go through
Now here we are, I’m suddenly standing
At the beginning with you

No one told me I was going to find you
Unexpected, what you did to my heart
When I lost hope, you were there to remind me
This is the start

And life is a road that I wanna keep going
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey
I’ll be there when the world stops turning
I’ll be there when the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

We were strangers on a crazy adventure
Never dreaming, how our dreams would come true
Now here we stand, unafraid of the future
At the beginning with you

And life is a road that I wanna keep going
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey
I’ll be there when the world stops turning
I’ll be there when the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

Knew there was somebody, somewhere
A new love in the dark
Now I know my dream will live on
I’ve been waiting so long
Nothing’s gonna tear us apart

And life is a road that I wanna keep going
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey
I’ll be there when the world stops turning
I’ll be there when the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

Yeah

Life is a road that I wanna keep going on
Love is a river, I wanna keep going

Starting out on a journey

Life is a road that I wanna keep going
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

I know that i would regret if
i stop at the challenge with the 1 month waiting for invitation letter to apply for visa.
i didn't apply for Romanian visa to get chance to apply for Moldova visa there.
i answer 'No' when i got the reply email of how much does of the flight ticket there!!
i didn't call and talk and rethink with Karen of whether to go for it or not
i still stay and wonder of what road i have not chosen there
I know that i have to do this.

and you know what??
i DID!!!
yes yes yes I DID IT !!

For my blog's fan, you have experienced with me how much excited i was. (actually still am whenever i tell people here how great it was)

----
Still, on this time machine to one of the blast experiences in 2007!
Trying to make the best to moving forward.
It's kind of stuck here... let's say slow moving into 2008....

Going through the photos, videos, papers, my scrap book, my notes, my diary while grabbing MD cookies, sipping green tea with honey, folding my sweaters and socks, memories keep flowing like the storm.
where can i start talk or write or express?? I have no idea.
Give me some little more time.
I am in the stage of organising my mind & thought here.

~oN the TimE mAchiNe : NH 07~

Taken by the good friend's saying that dont' forget to look into the past before jump into the future.
So, before the blog of my 2008. I rather remind a bit of what i have experienced 2007 then.

-------
This note has been written before i landed home though...

Okay here, let's join the ride on the time machine back of what had happened to me.

While i was trying to upload my mega photos on facebook. Old memories flied here and there. So here i go..

Okay, the feeling of before taking off that i feel the urge to put this down is the experiences that i have on being (again) the international facilitator for AIESEC Ukraine, New Horizon 2007 - Sky is no LIMIT.

Actually this has come really unexpectedly. Kinda of my plan for this time in CEE was to join in the National conference in RO (that is one of the reason getting multiple entries visa though)
Anyway, it's all just happened.
Start from hearing so amazing & incredible stories from my OCP of how great time he had while being int. faci in one of their local UA conf.
30 mins application filled in before the Deadline.
1 exciting week of waiting the result. (with the satisfaction of experience shortest time to fill in the (any) AIESEC application)
1 satisfied & honest application, 1 crazy accepted being international faci for one of the three craziest tracks in the conference.
1 New Horizon
3 tracks - Newbies (Del: 200+), Leadership (Del: 30+) and Intercultural Development Seminar - IDS (Del: 70+)
1 IDS, 1 conference manager, 6 faci: 2 UA, 1 Romanian, 1 German, 1 Czech and 1 ME. ;-)
'Different people, Different experiences' indeed. OC, LC, MC, CEEDer, Exchange. You name it, we have them all!
It's just amazing!!

A little further on this time machine back to the first start of my facilitator (yes, that far back while i was the LCP) , i remember the chair asked me to run the eXchange session. I was panic with the little knowledge and inexperience. Stress and fear.
Here in IDS, I was there. Complete the process. Fully mouthed said "Be there, done that" It's just GREAT!

Same as many for the fact of hummm... another national conference, same old same old.
One thing that i can be sure and positive to encourage any members to go out!! Join in another country's conference, i'm telling you. You never know You never know! Same concept, same organization, totally different feeling and experiences that you will have.
Same challenges and many of the first time and not so for the first time difficulties but u know what?
Someway somehow, this even been mentioned in the post meeting that 'We seem to manage ALL SMOOTHly!!"
I have to say that we did though. GREAT just GREAT.
Actually this is the first time to really fully for me in the exchange stage though, haha sorry for Vova to know that!
haha
ah.. this is just great!
The memory is still fresh and nice.

I guess this blog is going to be super long for as there were so many feeling and many roles that I did fill in.
Okay, being the international faci amongs crazy heaps Ukrainians!!
Okay, i lost count of how many there were for the UA one but i know that we have...
1 Moldova - Nicu : (my?) national trooper. Without, i would not come this far, trust me.
1 Czech - Luchka: my girl partner, my dear roomie, even bahtmate!
1 German - Olaf - and for ol of us!! It wouldn't be this smooth and terrific without this little G-moment
1 Romanian - Vlad - all the warmth, smoky, jokes ...
1 Polish - Kystof - your jokes, your fact, your stories, your superstitious, still miss the early conversation of you and Olaf everyday there. My morning wont' be the same ever again!

It's just all crazy. Thanks to you all.
Thank you for AIESEC UA to allow me to know more of your One AIESEC, One Ukraine.
Thank you for AIESEC Moldova to allow me to be among you girls and guys, you really made me feel like home there.
Thank you for IDS Delegates, you just made me want to go for my second internship.
Thank you for everyone there.

Thank you to make me really actually feel like 'Sky is no LiMit' !!
