Very wishing christmad indeed, thx sis.

Yeah !! we did have the xmas party here in Taichung.
Friends come over. Stuffed with food and alcohol. Very interesting night though. We got the visits from our security guard twice and followed by the lovely policeman!!
As i thought they might want to join in but obviously i was wrong. I guess we were too noisy and too much fun. (FYI: it just like flash back on the last time i had party in Taichung, police also came. They must like me so much haha)

Super Happy to have Brian stop over here on his way back to US of A. Only for two days but it's been a lot of fun. Very cool to meet and talk to him again after his trip to Laos. Around one month that haven't met nor talked nor write, none of any communication at all!!! Nice time indeed.

It's really cool to have friend visit you while you are in other country. ha ha .. i remember before i left BKK, few friends of mine are thinking to visit me here. I guess i need to branch out my Weaw B & B in TaiChung branch then. ;-) (click the foto to see more silly things ;-)

For this visit of Brian i can say that it's more of Eating Marathon in TaiChung ha ha ... Breakfast nearby the house (very good to practice my Chinese.. at least we got what we expected to be) Picnic in the park (food again) here Brian experienced the famous dish of Taiwan Chou Tofu. (FYI: it likes Durian, either Love it or Hate it) then afternoon tea with snacks. Dinner at the Hot Pot. As some know I and Brian we eat super spicy down south. Here is nothing. ha ha Followed by the snacks during playing Majong (yeah yeah, we taught him to play) Very Fun, more of Pong and Chi and Pong and Chi then HU!! (more info. next time)

As i said, it's just too good to be true to have him here with me. And with 3 of us here in Taiwan - Yvonne, I & Brian. It just seems not long ago to have us in Fisherman Bar in Khao Lak..

It is the small world afterall...

Much Love to You, Brian.

Yeah... getting close to look really like a bear... panda one would be nice then.

Finally, the 2nd week of my class starts.
This week most of my class has splitted in two.
Not so sure to be glad or not, but i am with the teacher that i was with on the first week.. yeah the so sort-of-discriminate and kind of sexism in a way. hummm...

Anyway, now the group gets smaller, more fun and really need to speed up in my learning.

As it's getting cold and expected to get colder here, my passion has not enough heat to go out though. (not to mention out on my bike... super freezing esp. in the morning)
Mostly just here using internet nor watching the movies or series.
As at the place, we have projector so we have little theather at the house. Cool cool ;-)

Super happy as very special friend of mine is going to stopover here in Taipei this Sat.
Very exciting indeed. He is going to be my first guest that i will host here in Taiwan.
As they said, when the first begins.. 2 3 4 will follow.
Okay dearies.. i am waiting here for you. Come !!

~1st WeeK in ScHool~

Wo de ming zhi shi Chen Miao Ru
(My name is Chen Miao Ru)

My first week in the school .. let's say so far so good.
I've challenged myself a bit in starting at Level 1 (can you believe that they have Level 0!!) I feel a bit stupid though if i happen to run into the conversation as below (i know i will)

A: "Oh!! You are studying Mandarin here, hao bu hao (good or not?)"
Me: "Hen hao (very good)"
A: "Which level are you in now?"
Me: "Level 0... -_-!!!"

Come on... imagine that. I definately gonna feel so stupid.
Anyway another reason is the teacher in the level 1 as well.
On the first day at class, she was late. Then started with the question
"Who never have learnt Mandarin or with zero Mandarin Background or no Chinese family background, please leave and join in the course 000 (which should be 001... how does it sound 000 so stupid, right?)"

Anyway, as i took couple Chinese courses in BKK few years ago and my grandparent comes from China, i decided to stick around.
The girl who sat next to me is American. Her name is Jess.
So the teacher was asking her, are you sure you want to be in this class? You can move to course 000, you know. It's good for the zero background of mandarin. And she kept repeating that about 3 times in the class. That starts to annoy me as Jess was telling she would like to give a try. So, give her a break, lady.
Later on the teacher found out that Jess is half German:USA and Taiwan (her mom) Then, the teacher started to speak in Mandarin and said "yeah yeah okay you can be in this class, no worries" And i was "What the heck is that??" darn.... feel so discreminate...
Another thing is she always call the group of the people in the class by their nationality.
Sth likes "The Japanese, The European, The Korean.."
'C mon lady, we do have the name and we gave it to you already. Can't believe that!!

After that, Jess and I become the very good friends as i am the only one so far that laugh with her slang and her sarcastic. ha ha always next to each other and laugh in the class. ha ha
My class is quite vary though. Australia, Japan, Korea, UK, France, Indonesia, USA, Cameroon, Tibet (a monk). The class will be smaller next week as we will split up into 2 classes. (wish we can be in the same course, Jess said. ha ha)

Anyway, i just chose the courses today. I'm taking 16 hrs per week of study.
Basic Mandarin, Pronunciation Clinic, Listening & Speaking Practice I.
Study from 8.00 - 10.00 and 10.00 - 12.00

And I am riding the bike (very lady or housewife like) to school. ha ha

'till next time,
