~Utopia here in Phang Nga~
Hi there,
Hard to say in feeling now.
Ready to leave Phang Nga, Khao Lak and V-STAY here within a week.
Yes, the work is kind of be able to carry on by itself.
The new trainees are lovely and of course crazy which hard for me to leave them.
While reading on "How to Change the World" (the book that i am reading since start of V-STAY, yes and still reading. It says that in order to make change or changes in what you are belive in takes more than 10 years to see it. I guess, i am still not entreprenuer enough for that though.
MOre and More thinking of leaving, more and more i am able to see how beautiful the life around here is.
I guess you know "Utopia" right? yes i am living in and about to leave one now.
You think the place where the door never lock doesn't exist?
Here in Thaptawan, there is no door in each of the Morgan or so called Sea-Gypsy house.
There is none. People are more than welcome to see you stop by to say SawasDee or more than welcome to feed you all the time. It is the place where people leave their key in the motorbike or truck, there is no need to be worried of stealing. People live here with the simple life but with bigger heart. There is no need to ask for help, they will come right away no matter you need it or not. The old stays with the traditional living style. The young still keeps on preserve that style and at the same time learn to not be left behind with the world outside.
As you all know the unique and valuable lifestyle is easily to lose. I can say not with this community. It's such a wonderful experience to see how the old teaches and shows the young in how valuable their culture is. And how much important to remain that. And so amazing to see how the young knows by themselve without any force or any big campain to know that it is their job and responsibility to remain and continue this priceless treasure of them.
It is such a beautiful life indeed.
Once, i have doubted of how does it look or be like to live in the place call "Utopia", it might not be totally like it but at least i can say it's such a beautiful wonderful place.
The 1st Utopia of mine, Thaptawan, Phang Nga.
xxx,
Weaw J.
